Predictions and consequences proving global warming: posted 2006
1. Rank of 2005 as hottest year on record(tied with 1998), according to NASA.

2. 100% Increase in intensity and duration of hurricanes and tropical storms since the 1970's, according to a 2005 MIT study. Only two level 3 or greater storms have reached U.S. shores in the three hurricane seasons since Katrina (2005). The hurricane season is in full swing now and will last through the Summer, with intensity diminishing in July - typically.
3. $100 billion Estimate of damage caused by hurricanes hitting the U.S. coast in 2005 alone, according to the National Climatic Data Center. And zero damage to U.S. coastal communities in the following two years.
4. 2030 - Year by which Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left, according to the U.S. Geological Survey predictions. Look, the earth's temporatures are rising about 1 degree per 100 years. But we will get verification of this. Just hang with us for a while (4/23/09)/
5. 400,000 Square miles of Arctic sea ice that have melted in the last 30 years (roughly the size of Texas), threatening polar bear habitats and further accelerating global warming worldwide, according to the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment. You must remember that all global warming projections are based upon scientific modeling and not on any actual occurrences. In June of 2008, it was predicted that all the ice cap in the Arctic would melt away by September of that year (CBS radio News, kmj 580). It did not happen. In fact, the winters of 2007-08 and 2008-09 have been the coolest with record snowfall in the last 40 years and 35 years respectfully.
6. 15 - 37% -- Amount of plant and animal species that global warming could wipe out by 2050. Ah. More doom and gloom. Ridiculous. For starters, Al Gore and company told us in 2005 that we only had 10 years to correct the problem or we were all dead --- so who cares about 2050 junk science predictions? This prediction, in and of itself, disproves the claimed validity of the warming alarmists.
7. Rank of the United States as a global warming polluter compared to other large nations. Indeed, we have 3% of the world's population and use 25% of the world's energy. Do you know that we also supply the world with 32% of all its goods and services. It takes energy to accomplish that event.
8. 6 -Number of former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency leaders who say the U.S. is not doing enough to fight global warming.
